Energy direction
Extraversion vs introversion: do you direct energy toward people and activity, or ideas and reflection?
Open Jung Type Inventory
Answer 48 Jungian preference questions in about 5–10 minutes. No account, name, or email is required, and your complete personality report opens immediately after completion.
Your type grows from four basic preferences. Most people are not absolute endpoints: each dimension is a spectrum, and you may simply lean toward one side.
Extraversion vs introversion: do you direct energy toward people and activity, or ideas and reflection?
Sensing vs intuition: do you focus on concrete facts and detail, or patterns and future possibilities?
Thinking vs feeling: do you lean on logic and analysis, or values and the effects on people?
Judging vs perceiving: do you prefer structure and certainty, or flexibility and open options?
Keirsey's temperament theory groups 16 MBTI types into four distinct families, each with unique thinking and behavior patterns
Often drawn to logic, systems, and long-term possibilities, they may enjoy analyzing complex problems and comparing solutions. Experience, ability, and context still shape how these preferences appear.
Value empathy and collective good, cooperative and imaginative. Compassionate helpers who pursue meaningful goals and spiritual significance. Often play the role of mediator in social circles.
Responsible, careful, and down-to-earth. They value tradition and order, are organized and disciplined, and are reliable executors in any team. Good memory, dislike change, and tend to worry about things going wrong.
Live in the moment with keen observation and sensitivity to environmental changes. Optimistic and cheerful with high risk tolerance, they are pragmatic improvisers who learn through sensory experience and practice.

How it works
OSJJ uses 48 self-report preference questions to show relative tendencies across four dimensions. No account, name, email, or phone number is required. Progress and the latest result stay in this browser. The result reflects this set of answers and is not a clinical diagnosis or ability assessment.

What you should know before using a personality type result
Yes. The OSJJ 48-question assessment is free and requires no account or sign-in. You can view your four-letter type and full report immediately after finishing. The 200-question professional assessment is optional for people who want to examine close preferences in more detail.
No. OSJJ does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. Your progress and latest result are stored locally in your current browser.
The free OSJJ test has 48 questions and usually takes 5–10 minutes. Answer based on your everyday behavior rather than searching for a correct choice.
Accuracy is not a simple yes-or-no question. MBTI is not a clinical diagnostic tool; it is a framework for observing personality preferences. Because the result comes from self-reported answers, it can be affected by your current state, context, and self-understanding. Use it as a starting point for reflection, not a permanent label.
Yes. Life stage, environment, stress, and changes in self-understanding can affect how you answer, especially when a dimension is near the midpoint. There is no universal retesting schedule; retest after meaningful changes or when the result no longer feels representative.
The system returns one four-letter type, but you may recognize yourself in two neighboring types. When a dimension is close to 50%, small changes in your answers can change one letter. Read the four dimension scores first instead of forcing yourself into a single fixed label.
There is no single answer that applies to every population. Type prevalence varies by country, age, gender, time period, sample, and measurement tool. Some distributions list INFJ among the less common types, but a fixed percentage should not be treated as a universal global fact. Rarity also does not mean that a type is better or more special.
You can view the full report immediately after finishing. It includes your four-letter type, four preference dimensions, strengths and blind spots, relationship patterns, career directions, growth suggestions, and a personality card you can generate and share.
OSJJ does not require your name, email address, phone number, or an account. Your progress and latest result are stored locally in the current browser; clearing browser data may also remove those local records.
The 48-question test provides a quick view of your current four-dimension preferences. The 200-question professional assessment adds more observations to help distinguish close tendencies. Both are for self-exploration and should not replace clinical diagnosis, hiring decisions, or major life decisions.
About the project
OSJJ stands for Open Source Jung Journey. It is a free project for self-exploration and observing personality preferences, designed to keep the test lightweight and the explanations clear.
The project follows an open Jungian type-inventory approach and supports bilingual testing, full reports, and MCP integration. Transparency is part of the method, alongside honest limits on what a type result can claim.
